Examples of use for Enterprise Edition
1.) Dynamic information distribution
Before rolling out a software upgrade, you would like to inform all affected users in advance. Simply create a dynamic channel which queries for the software affected by the upgrade. The message then will only be displayed on the screen of the affected clients, which share the common property, i.e. the installed software.
The following types of client properties can be used:
- Applications (installed)
- Processes (currently running)
- Connections
- Files (existing)
- Registry Keys
- Properties of files
- Inifile values
- WMI properties
Advantages:
- The distribution of information is faster and more accurate
- Affected clients are identified automatically
2.) Client concept multiuser
A company would like to supply its employees with important information as quick as possible. The individual departments need to be able to send individual messages. Define different Powerusers and assign them to different department groups. This way, confidential information always remains within one department.
3.) Client concept multiuser with different levels
In large companies, Subadmins can be defined, which can create their own Powerusers and groups. This way, the bestinformed-admin does not have to worry about each individual group.
4.) multiclient authority
A company would like to operate two separate Infoservers in two different international locations. A certain number of clients has to receive messages from both servers. On these computers, two instances of the Infoclients are started in order to be connected with both servers.
