As part of an upgrade, the type of graphic card or CPU needs to be checked on 1000 computers. What usually would take several days, now can be accomplished with a few mouseclicks when using Cordaware Remote Access.

Administrators can centrally perform installation routines througout the entire network, start different applications and have routine tasks run automatically.

In case of emergency, certain applications can simply be shut down by the administrator, or all computers can be shut down at once.

These are only a few selected examples for the use of Remote Access. Competent administrators will find a wide range of applicable possibilities.

2. Example

All computers with a graphic card with less than 2MB are to be located. With the script examples, that are included in Remote Access, this can be accomplished in just a few moments. The results are presented in table form. The graphic cards can be exchanged.

3. Example

All computers of a department are to be shut down on Friday at 10 p.m. Send a message with the Infoband and inform all employees, that are still at work, of the shutdown. Then you use the "Shutdown Script" and shut down all computers.

4. Example

A company has a new supplier. This means, that new data needs to be entered in certain applications. You can use Remote Access to send a message to enter new data. This message includes a hyperlink with a script that starts the application, in which the data can be entered immediately.

5. Example

Virus alarm. All computers with hard drives that contain a certain file name are to be located. Again, you can use an example script, which is included in Remote Access, to locate the files on all computers in a matter of seconds and react accordingly.
